Conveyancing

Purchasing or selling a property may be the single most expensive transaction a person makes in their lifetime. Tied to this are emotional considerations such as memories of childhoods past; blood sweat and tears in renovating and making a place your own, or dreams for a future home or investment.

Conveyancing is not simple, and each sale is as unique as the property you are selling or buying.

Whether you are selling or buying a property, we offer expert legal advice tailored to the property and your individual requirements.

Conveyancing has evolved and is now often an entirely electronic process. Our trained lawyers will assist you to navigate this digital world; we handle the complexity and offer a range of flexible options to meet all our client’s technological preferences.

Buying

We assist purchasers by reviewing contracts of sale and section 32 information (or ‘Vendor Statements’) prior to you entering into the contract. We review the contract to ensure you are aware of any risks and your obligations before you sign.

If you sign contracts before obtaining legal advice you may find yourself in a situation where you cannot get out of the contract.

We will guide you through the purchasing process right through to settlement.

We undertake post settlement services such as notifying council and water authorities of the change in ownership details.

Selling

We will draft a contract of sale inclusive of conditions that are tailored to your individual requirements; protecting your investment and meeting requisite industry standards.

We prepare section 32 statements to meet a vendor’s legislated disclosure obligations. You should contact us as soon as possible upon deciding to sell, as we are required to apply for certificates and searches (such as from the State Revenue Office or Water Authorities) that take time to be received.

We will guide you through the sale process right through to settlement.

Best outcome for all

Our lawyers are professional, thorough, and great communicators. We pride ourselves on working with all parties involved in a sale, to achieve the best possible outcome for all involved.

Buying or selling a home is not only a major financial decision, it is a major life decision. We advise our clients to update or make a Will following a change in circumstances such as this, and our lawyers have the expertise to also assist you with this process.

We offer a fixed fee (plus disbursements) for conveyancing – contact us to receive a free, no-obligation quote.

Client testimonials

I cannot thank both Marlene and you enough for everything you’ve done. You both made everything so easy and there was no stress. Thank you and wishing you both a wonderful Christmas and fabulous New Year.

Megan

Marlene was recommended to me by a friend and thank God she did. Couldn’t have chosen a better person for the job. At a time when I felt my life was spiraling out of control, Marlene’s knowledge, dedication and positive attitude turned one of the worst experiences in my life into a bright future for myself and children with better than expected results. Her professional, friendly manner made dealing with such a deeply emotional issue just that little bit easy, and I would often walk out of her office with a smile. I cannot thank her enough. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending Marlene Ebejer to represent you as your legal representative.

Patricia

I’m very glad, got the good outcome. Thank-you Megan for your support during these challenging times. You’re so friendly with kind words and patience. You worked really hard and helped with assisting me during this traumatic phase in my life.

Srvani

My son has recently gone through a separation and custody dispute with the assistance of Marlene, I cannot praise their service enough. He was provided with open and honest advice throughout this whole ordeal. Marlene’s expertise put us all at peace as we navigated an area none of us were familiar with. She responded promptly to all our questions, with very clear advice and suggestions (even though they may of seemed to her like silly questions) . I cannot recommend this service higher, I certainly hope we don’t need their services again but if we do we won’t hesitate to contact them. We can’t thank Marlene enough for all she did and all her expertise.
